Lisboa City Hall
The City's Reception Hall, Paços do Concelho, presents varioue architectural styles -Neo-classical, Romantic and Pombaline.
The building was design by the Marquês de Pombal, between 1770 and 1774 and was the residence of Queen Maria I, when in Lisbon.
The building contains various simbols of republican ideology, and suffered two fires, in 1863 and 1996, being after each occurence completely reconstructed.
